This plane was going to China. Indian Air Traffic Control had shared the alert with the aircraft, when the aircraft was in Indian airspace. After this, Su-30MKI fighter jets of the Indian Air Force took off from Punjab and Jodhpur airbases to intercept the aircraft. However, the nature of the bomb threat is not yet known. However, till the time of writing the news, after investigation, the plane went towards China. It passed through Indian airspace and till then the investigative agencies kept a close watch.

According to Air Traffic Control, this plane coming from Tehran was to land in Guangzhou, China. Mahan Air immediately contacted Delhi Airport ATC for landing after receiving a bomb threat, but Delhi ATC asked the aircraft to land in Jaipur. But the pilot of the plane refused and left the Indian airspace.
