Several people are reported to have been killed in a mass shooting in the Canadian province of British Columbia early Monday. The attacker allegedly shot the homeless people selectively. Police issued an emergency alert following several shootings in the city of Langley. Police have asked residents to remain alert and stay away from the area where the incident took place.

Canada : Several people are reported to have been killed in a mass shooting in the Canadian province of British Columbia early Monday. The attacker allegedly shot the homeless people selectively. Police issued an emergency alert following several shootings in the city of Langley. Police have asked residents to remain alert and stay away from the area where the incident took place. According to Canadian media reports, an emergency alert was sent to the locals on their phones at 6.20 am.

According to a message posted on the social media platform, the suspect is a Caucasian male with 'dark hair' who is yet to be caught. A spokesman for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp (CBC) that several people had died. He did not say how many people died. According to the CBC, the victims were homeless and police believe the attacker targeted and killed them.

Langley Police said in a statement that they have "found several victims of shootings in the City of Langley. There have been several shootings at different locations. Shootings have also been seen in the township of Langley." Police have asked the public to stay out of several places like casinos and parking at bus stops.
