Immersion of nearly two lakh idols in Mumbai

During the ten-day Ganesh festival, 1.93 lakh idols were immersed in Mumbai. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that over 1.93 lakh idols were immersed in Mumbai during the 10-day Ganesh festival. In the last 10 days, 66,127 idols were immersed in artificial ponds across the city. After a gap of two years, this year Ganpati or Ganesh Utsav was celebrated without any epidemiological restrictions.
