With 3 centuries and as many fifties, this English batsman has scored 627 runs in 13 matches played so far. Some matches earlier it was believed that the Orange Cap would remain with Butler till the end of the season, but in the last few matches, Butler has not been able to score runs, which have been taken advantage of by other batsmen. In the match against Kolkata, the openers of Lucknow Super Giants have staked their claim on the Orange Cap by batting smoky. De Kock scored 140 runs against KKR which is the third best innings in IPL history, while Rahul scored 68 runs. Both the players put up a huge score of 210 runs for Lucknow in 20 overs without losing a wicket.

Quinton de Kock has reached the third position with 502 runs and KL Rahul has reached the second position with 537 runs on the basis of this innings. The distance between Rahul and Butler is now only 90 runs. The Lucknow team has qualified for the playoffs, so we can expect Rahul to overtake Butler.

On the other hand, if we talk about the purple cap race, then there is a tough competition between Yuzvendra Chahal and Wanindu Hasranga. Apart from these two players, Kagiso Rabada, Umran Malik and Kuldeep Yadav are present in the top 5. At the same time, Avesh Khan of Lucknow Super Giants has made his place in the top 10 with 17 wickets.
