In response, Chennai started very poorly and in the very first over, opener Faf du Plessis was out. Well done Shaw's magic

Prithvi Shaw scored 60 runs in 34 balls while batting brilliantly. This was Prithvi's first half-century in Phase-2 and fourth half-century in IPL 14. Shaw fired shots in almost every direction. He was constantly putting pressure on the CSK bowlers with his stormy batting, when Ravindra Jadeja showed him the way to the pavilion by dismissing him.

First wicket after a good start

Delhi got a good start while playing first. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan added 32 runs in three overs. The pair was gaining momentum when Josh Hazlewood dismissed Dhawan (7) to give CSK their first breakthrough. Hazlewood gave Delhi the second blow in his very next over by dismissing Shreyas Iyer (1). After this, the wicket of Akshar Patel (10) was picked up by Moeen Ali.
