The decision was taken after an evaluation meeting to assess the prevailing Covid-19 scenario withinside the state. The state mentioned 25,723 fresh Covid-19 cases and 189 associated deaths in the last 24 hours.
Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan advised a press convention that active instances now stand at 2,37,042. Under the new rule, polytechnic colleges and institutions offering technical and clinical publications could be allowed to feature from October 4. Final yr college students and teachers of undergraduate and postgraduate courses will also be allowed if they have acquired at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
“In higher educational institutions, classes for final year, undergraduate & postgraduate students will begin from October 4. Details regarding the reopening of educational institutions are being worked out. Decision on the reopening of schools will be taken later,” Pinarayi said.
