Pooja Khedkar News: The Delhi High Court has recently rejected the anticipatory bail plea of dismissed trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar. The court said in its decision that the fraud committed by Khedkar is not only a betrayal of that institution but also hurts the trust of the entire society. The court also said that such incidents raise questions on the credibility of the justice system and public institutions. For this reason, the interim protection given to Khedkar has also been revoked.

Serious allegation: Fake benefit of OBC and disability quota

Pooja Khedkar is seriously accused of taking advantage of OBC and disability quota through fake documents in the Civil Services Examination. Due to this, he was arrested and the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) canceled his candidature on July 31, 2023. Apart from this, he has been barred from appearing in any UPSC examination in future. Along with dismissing Khedkar from the job, an FIR was also registered against him.

Challenged the decision of the lower court

Puja Khedkar had earlier filed a petition for anticipatory bail from the lower court, but on August 1, the court rejected it. The court had said that the allegations are serious and a detailed investigation is required for them. After this, Khedkar challenged the decision of the lower court in the High Court, but the High Court also rejected his petition.

Who is Pooja Khedkar?

Puja Khedkar is a former IAS officer of the 2022 batch, who secured All India Rank 841 in the Civil Services Examination 2022.
