According to reports, he shot an advertisement for the IPL 2025 season at the team hotel in Dubai. This photoshoot was done for Jiostar, the official broadcaster of IPL.

Did Kohli break BCCI's rule?

This matter is in the news because the BCCI recently issued new guidelines for the players. Under these rules, players cannot do personal advertisement or commercial shooting during any international tournament or series. In such a situation, the question arises whether Virat broke this rule?

However, it is important to note that the IPL itself is a BCCI tournament and its official broadcaster is also associated with the BCCI. In such a situation, any shoot related to the IPL cannot be counted in the personal promotion or commercial category.

Kohli will play IPL with a new captain
