Do not use plastic utensils

Arghya is offered to Sun God in Chhath Puja. Also, he is worshiped with full rituals. During this period, one should not use silver, steel and plastic utensils. Only earthen stove and utensils should be used in this puja.

Do not consume non-vegetarian food even by mistake during the auspicious days of Chhath festival. Also, do not make it at home. Garlic and onion should not be consumed during Chhath Puja.

Do not eat anything without offering water to the Sun God.
