Champions Trophy: The ICC's 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started preparations for the tournament. However, it is not yet clear whether the Indian team will participate in this tournament. The BCCI is yet to confirm sending Team India to Pakistan, and the possibility of a hybrid model is also under discussion.

Former Pakistan player Danish Kaneria has made an important statement on the matter. He has advised the Indian team that India should not tour Pakistan given the current situation in Pakistan. Kaneria said that safety and respect should be the priority, and if the BCCI feels that safety cannot be ensured, it would be appropriate that the tournament is held in a hybrid model, with some matches also being held in Dubai.

Danish Kaneria, who was born in Karachi to a Gujarati family, is one of the important names in Pakistan cricket. But his cricket career journey has been full of controversies. Kaneria faced discrimination due to his Hindu religion and was also banned for life. His cousin, Anil Dalpat, is another prominent Hindu cricketer from Pakistan.

Big statement by Danish Kaneria

Speaking to Sports Tak on Team India's tour of Pakistan, Danish Kaneria said, 'Looking at the current situation in Pakistan, I have to say that the Indian team should not go to Pakistan. Pakistan should think about it and then the ICC will take its decision. Most likely, this tournament will be played in a hybrid model. It can be held in Dubai, which will be a good thing. Kaneria further said, 'Safety of the players is the first priority. Respect is the second priority. I think the BCCI is doing a very good job. However, all countries will accept the final decision.
