ENG vs NED: Netherlands has been eliminated from ODI World Cup 2023. The team was defeated by defending champions England by 160 runs in Pune. Ben Stokes scored a century for England at the MCA Stadium. After the second win in the tournament, England reached number 7 in the points table. Before this the British had also defeated Bangladesh. There was a half-century partnership between David Malan and Joe Root for the second wicket. Both scored 85 runs on 80 balls. This partnership broke with the wicket of Root. Root was bowled by Logan Van Beek after scoring 28 runs.

England lost one wicket in Powerplay-1

England had a good start in Powerplay-1. The team scored 70 runs losing one wicket. England suffered a setback in the first 10 overs. Jonny Bairstow was sent to the pavilion by Aryan Dutt for 15 runs. After this, Joe Root made a partnership of 85 runs with David Malan.
