Suspicious item in a bag was recovered from Pune railway station. Initially it was being called gelatin. Later, the team of Bomb Disposal Squad, which arrived for investigation, termed it as a firecracker. However, it was not clear how it got here. Platform number one and two were evacuated after the suspicious object was found and investigation started.

The GRP team is searching for the person keeping them here with the help of CCTV cameras installed at the station. The special thing is that these crackers look like gelatin sticks and they were connected by a wire.

Platform number 1 and 2 have been evacuated after explosives were found in the bag. The Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot for investigation and started the work of detonating the firecrackers. Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta, who reached the spot, while talking to the media said that this firecracker was found at the railway station at 10.30 am. The items do not appear to be gelatin at first sight. But the Bomb Disposal Squad is still investigating. Security has been beefed up at Pune railway station following the seizure.
