A yellow alert has been issued for today. Dense fog may be seen in some areas and the sky will remain cloudy. It is estimated that the minimum temperature in Delhi today will be 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 18 degrees Celsius.

How will the weather of Delhi be in the coming days?

According to the Meteorological Department, the fog will be less in Delhi on January 7, but a yellow alert has been issued for dense fog on January 8. On this day the minimum temperature is likely to be 8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature 16 degrees Celsius. By January 9, the minimum temperature may remain around 7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature 17 degrees Celsius. Rain alert has also been issued in Noida and Ghaziabad.

Snowfall alert in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh

The Meteorological Department has predicted a new western disturbance in North-West India between January 10 and 12. Due to its effect, light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in the western Himalayan regions. Light to moderate rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on January 6. At the same time, light rain may also occur in the northeastern states on January 7 and 8.

Effect of fog in the plains of North India

Cold wave conditions persisted in some areas of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on January 6. Dense fog is likely in Punjab and Haryana during January 6 to 8. Schools closed in Jharkhand and Bihar due to cold wave

In view of the continuously falling temperature in Jharkhand, orders have been given to keep the schools closed from January 7 to 13. Due to severe cold in Bihar, the Patna district administration has directed to keep all government and private schools up to class VIII closed till January 11. On Sunday, the lowest temperature of 6.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Motihari, Bihar.

Snowfall and minus temperature in Kashmir

Minus temperatures have been recorded in many areas of Kashmir. Snowfall has occurred in some areas of Bandipura and Baramulla. Kokernag in South Kashmir recorded a temperature of minus 8.1 degrees Celsius. Srinagar recorded a temperature of minus 2.5 degrees Celsius, Gulmarg minus 4.0 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 3.2 degrees Celsius and Qazigund recorded a temperature of minus 3.6 degrees Celsius.
