Nitin Gadkari News: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari made a big announcement on his Bihar visit on Thursday. He said that by 2029, when the BJP-led NDA government completes its 15 years, Bihar's road network will be at the level of America. He made this announcement during the programs organized in Bodh Gaya, where he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of road projects.

Unprecedented improvement in road network

Nitin Gadkari said, "Our government has done unprecedented work in the field of road infrastructure, and its effect can be clearly seen in Bihar. In the next few years, Bihar's road network will be world-class." He also informed that in recent years the central government has paid special attention to Bihar's road projects, improving connectivity in every district of the state.

Foundation stone laid for projects worth Rs 3,700 crore

During his visit, the Union Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects costing Rs 3,700 crore. These mainly include:

Bakhtiyarpur-Rajouli section of National Highway-20

Road widening project from Rajauli to Haldia

Hasanpur to Bakhtiyarpur road widening section

These projects will strengthen the connectivity between Bihar and Jharkhand and local people will get better traffic facilities.

Buddha Circuit and Greenfield Ring Road

Nitin Gadkari also highlighted the work going on towards making the Buddha Circuit world-class in Bihar. He said that:

1,600 km of road is being constructed at a cost of Rs 22,000 crore.

Out of this, 1,100 km of construction has been completed.

The remaining work is targeted to be completed by next year.

Apart from this, a Greenfield Ring Road will be constructed in Patna at a cost of Rs 10,000 crore, which will ease traffic in the capital.

Other ambitious projects

Widening of Mokama to Munger road (cost: Rs 5,100 crore)

11 rail over bridges in 9 cities (cost: Rs 1,250 crore)

These projects are aimed not only to ease traffic but also to boost the local economy.

Future plans

Nitin Gadkari said that the central government is working fast on road projects in Bihar. He plans to have Bihar's road network by 2029, which is comparable with developed countries like the US.
