Rising Rajasthan: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday announced new road projects worth Rs 30,000 crore for Rajasthan at the 'Rising Rajasthan Summit' held in Jaipur. On this occasion, he appealed to the state government to give 40 percent of the developed land near the North Jaipur Bypass to the farmers, so that the benefits of development can reach the farmers directly.

Tourism and development will gain momentum

In his address, Gadkari said that strengthening of road infrastructure is necessary to promote tourism in Rajasthan. He emphasized that construction of roads not only improves connectivity, but also increases regional development and employment opportunities.

Major projects and investments

Gadkari said that the 110 km long North Jaipur Ring Road has been approved with an investment of Rs 6,500 crore. He said, "After the construction of roads, the price of land increases up to five times." He suggested developing "New Jaipur" in collaboration with the state government and Jaipur Development Authority.

Apart from this, they discussed the progress of the project of ultra-modern expressway from Kotputli to Agra at a cost of Rs 6,800 crore. This project is expected to be completed by September. At the same time, a plan to build a state-of-the-art highway from Jaipur, Kishangarh, Jodhpur to Amritsar is also proposed. For this, a detailed project report (DPR) is being prepared at a cost of Rs 12,000 crore, and work is likely to start soon.
