Vikram Brar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has achieved great success. NI has arrested gangster Vikramjit Singh alias Vikram Brar in United Arab Emirates (UAE). He had fled to UAE. NIA A team of NIA went to UAE to bring him back to India. The arrest of Vikram is being considered as a major step in the terrorist-gangster-smuggler nexus case.

Vikram Brar is very special to the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi lodged in the jail. He has been involved in the sensational murder of famous Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh alias Sidhu Musewala. Brar has been taken into custody by the NIA. Apart from target killing of innocent people and businessmen, he was involved in arms smuggling and extortion cases in India with the help of dreaded gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar and others.

31 named in Moosewala murder case

Hearing was held in Mansa Court on Wednesday after the charge sheet filed by the police in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case of Punjab. All the accused appeared in the court virtually. The court has framed charges against all the accused including gangster Lawrence. Now the hearing of this case will be held on August 9. The SIT has named 31 people including gangster Lawrence and his foreign accomplice Goldie Brar.

29 arrested so far, two killed in encounter

Sidhu Musewala was shot dead on 29 May 2022 at Jawaharke in Mansa district of Punjab. The prime accused is Goldie Brar, a member of the Lawrence gang. So far 29 people have been arrested in this sensational murder case. Two accused have been killed in the encounter.

Used to act as a communications control room

The NIA investigation has revealed that Vikram Brar was working from UAE as the communication control room (CCR) for Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Through CCR, he used to provide call facilities to Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar (based in Canada). He used to execute extortion and other incidents on his orders.

A special NIA court in Delhi had also issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him. A Look Out Circular (LOC) is also issued in the name of the accused. And on March 24, 2022, the NIA filed the charge sheet. In RC-39 registered in Delhi in 2022, his name was also included along with 13 other accused. It was a case related to terrorist nexus.

Actively helped in the Moosewala murder case

According to the NIA, from the year 2020 to 2022, Vikramjeet Singh alias Vikram Brar actively helped Goldie Brar in the Sidhu Moosewala murder. Lawrence Bishnoi had also sent extortion money to Brar several times through hawala. Brar demanded extortion from a doctor in Kurukshetra.

Student reached the world of crime from politics

The NIA probe revealed that Vikram Brar was associated with SOPU, a Panjab University student organization, before becoming a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi. Lawrence was also the leader of this organization. After this he came into the world of crime. He along with his other accomplices started committing murder, extortion. It also provided logistical support to gangsters from Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab.

NIA has got five deported

In recent months, NIA has succeeded in deporting and arresting five fugitives. Among these, Bikramjit Singh alias Bikkar Panjwar alias Bikkar Baba, the mastermind of the Tarn Taran blasts, was deported from Austria in December 2022. This was the first extradition case of its kind from a western country. Apart from this, Babbar Khalsa's Kulwinderjit Singh alias Khanpuria, Harpreet Singh alias Happy Malaysia, Parminder Pal Singh alias Bobby and Abubakar Haji have been deported in the Ludhiana Court Complex bomb blast case.
