Cricket Desk: Spin King Harbhajan Singh is known to be one of the best men played for India in the past. Plying his trade alongside many world-class cricketers during his time, he chose his all-time best XI of Test cricket. He chose to start his side with England great Alastair Cook alongside former Indian ace batter Virender Sehwag.

Singh lauded Sehwag for playing the fearless brand of cricket and called him the modern-day Viv Richards. Moving further in his lineup, Singh chose West Indies legend Brian Lara at number three. For the fourth option, he added that it shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone at all and named Little Master Sachin Tendulkar on the spot. Singh made all these observations while speaking to Sportskeeda.

Moving further, the former spinner appointed Steve Waugh as the captain of the side by slotting him at number five. The off-spinner kept all-time great all-rounder Jacques Kallis at number six while adding that his bowling records match Zaheer Khan while batting records can be touched with Tendulkar

Kumar Sangakkara to take gloves in Harbhajan Singh’s Test XI

Number seven in the list saw the entry of great wicketkeeping-batter Kumar Sangakkara. Though Singh stated that his position is quite late in this line-up, he had to be put here to maintain other combinations well. Sangakkara was followed by class spinner Shane Warne. Wasim Akram happened to be the ninth player on the list and Singh called him the best left-arm pacer ever produced.

The 10th and 11th spots were captured by Glenn McGrath and modern-day great James Anderson. Muttiah Muralidaran was chosen as the 12th man on the list where the 41-year-old added that in Asian countries, he will fetch Muralidaran in playing XI in place of Warne. However, Warne will continue to play at all the venues outside Asia. Muralidaran stands to be the highest wicket-taker to date in the longest format of the game.
