Manohar Lal Khattar: In Haryana, the government has taken a big decision regarding night clubs, bars and restaurants. This decision has shocked the hookah smoking lovers. The Home Department of Haryana Government has completely banned serving any kind of hookah in night clubs, bars and restaurants in all the districts of the state. The Home Department has also issued a written order in this regard. According to the order of the State Home Department, there will be a complete ban on flavored hookah in public places. The government has said that such information has been received that a lot of intoxicants are used in the guise of herbal hookah in night clubs, bars and restaurants. This is dangerous for anyone's health.

What has the Home Department said?

According to the letter issued by State Home Secretary TVSN Prasad, the work of serving tobacco and flavored hookah was going on in full swing in bars, night clubs and restaurants in the districts of Haryana. In many places, banned intoxicants are also mixed with tobacco.

The department has said that the government had received a complaint that in the name of enhancing the taste, many types of herbs and chemicals are added to hookah. In this way youth are becoming victims of bad habits. Because of this, there will be a ban on serving any kind of flavored or nicotine hookah anywhere in Haryana.

Just two weeks ago, the Chief Minister of the state, Manohar Lal, had announced a complete ban on serving this type of hookah in a program. After which now the Home Department has issued this notification.

Warning of action on violation of orders

The Home Department has issued a letter in this regard saying that if any bar, night club and restaurant violates this government order, strict legal action will be taken against it. However, in this order, smoking hookah traditionally or in private at one's home has been kept out of the scope of this ban.

CM Manohar Lal had recently announced this

Because of this, hookah with any kind of flavor or nicotine will not be served anywhere in Haryana. Two weeks ago, after receiving complaints of serving hookah laced with intoxicants through hookah bars and clubs in Haryana's districts like Gurugram, Faridabad and Panchkula, Haryana CM Manohar Lal announced a complete ban on serving hookah during an event soon. It was announced to be installed. After which now this notification has been issued.
