Canada News: Once again a Hindu temple has been vandalized in Canada and anti-India slogans have been written on the walls of the temple. This time a Hindu temple located in Windsor in Ontario has been targeted. Windsor Police have launched an investigation into the vandalism as a 'hate incident', with police looking for two suspects. Windsor police said in a statement, 'On April 5, 2023, officers were dispatched to a Hindu temple in the 1700 block of Northway Avenue following reports of hate-motivated vandalism. The officers found anti-Hindu and anti-India graffiti in black paint on the outer wall of the building.

In the investigation, police officers found a video in which two suspects are seen after 12 midnight (local time). Police said, 'In the video, one suspect is seen vandalizing the wall of the building, while the other is keeping watch.'

Hindu temples were targeted earlier too

This is not the first time that a Hindu temple has been vandalized in Canada and anti-Bharti slogans have been written on its walls. Earlier in February, the Ram temple in Mississauga, Canada was vandalized and anti-India slogans were written on the walls. The Consulate General of India in Toronto condemned the desecration of the temple and requested the Canadian authorities to investigate the incident and take prompt action against the perpetrators.

In January, a Hindu temple in Brampton was defaced with anti-India graffiti, sparking outrage in the Indian community. The Consulate General of India in Toronto had condemned the vandalism of the Gauri Shankar Temple, saying that this act deeply hurt the sentiments of the Indian community in Canada. Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown also condemned the vandalism of the temple.
