Sonali Phogat Death Mystery: BJP leader and social media star Sonali Phogat died in a suspicious condition in Goa and was cremated on Friday in Hisar, Haryana. Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said if the family wanted a CBI probe into his death, it would be considered. Regarding the demand for a CBI inquiry into Phogat's death, Khattar said that whatever the family wants, we will do that. The Chief Minister said that if the family makes a written request, we will consider the issue further. Khattar said that he had spoken to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant after the incident.

Ready to help Goa Police

Sonali Phogat died in Anjuna in North Goa district on the morning of 23 August. Initially, the cause of death was said to be a heart attack, but then the post-mortem report revealed injury marks on the body. Goa Police has now registered a case of murder and arrested two people. According to the police, Sonali was given some intoxicant mixed in a drink in a restaurant after which her health deteriorated.

Haryana Chief Minister said that he is in constant touch with Goa CM's office after Sonali's murder. Goa Police has also sought information from Haryana Police about the properties of Sonali Phogat and her PA Sudhir Sangwan. Along with this, an offer has also been given by the Haryana Government to send a team of Special Officers from Haryana to Goa if needed. Goa Police suspects that Sudhir has murdered Sonali Phogat in the greed of property whose value is said to be around 2.74 crores. Phogat's brother Rinku Dhaka has also made similar allegations against Sudhir.

Daughter Yashodhara lit the pyre

Sonali Phogat's last rites have been performed in Hisar on Friday and during this a large number of people came to pay tribute to her. Phogat's daughter Yashodhara and other family members bid him a final farewell at Rishi Nagar's cremation ground. Phogat's daughter Yashodhara has lit his pyre. His body was brought from Goa to his farmhouse in Hisar on Thursday. Haryana minister and BJP MLA from Hisar Kamal Gupta and party leader Kuldeep Bishnoi also arrived to pay tribute to Phogat.

The Goa Police has so far detained two of Phogat's associates, Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Vasi. Both of them are accused of mixing intoxicants in Phogat's drink. Also in a CCTV footage, Sonali is seen staggering in an intoxicated state. This footage is being told just before his death. Phogat's brother Rinku Dhaka had lodged a complaint against the two at Anjuna police station in Goa on Wednesday.
