Rahul Gandhi News: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has recently raised serious questions about China (LAC) and US tariff policies. He alleged that China has occupied 4,000 square kilometers of Indian territory, but the government is silent on this. Also, he also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is writing letters to China, but no information is being given to the countrymen about this.

Sharp questions on China

Rahul Gandhi expressed displeasure in Parliament that our Foreign Secretary was cutting a cake with the Chinese Ambassador, while 20 Indian soldiers made the supreme sacrifice in the Galwan Valley. He said that before normalizing the situation, the status quo should be restored and our land should be returned. He also claimed that Indians are getting information about the letters written by the Prime Minister and the President to China not from the government but from the Chinese Ambassador.

US tariff and impact on economy

Referring to the 26 percent tariff imposed on India by US President Donald Trump, Rahul Gandhi said that it will ruin India's economy. Targeting the government, he said that on one hand China has occupied Indian land and on the other hand America is putting economic pressure on India, but the government is silent.

Mention of Indira Gandhi and attack on foreign policy

Rahul Gandhi, referring to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, said that when she was asked about her inclination in foreign policy, she had replied that "neither do I lean towards the left nor towards the right, I am an Indian and stand straight." Rahul Gandhi alleged that the policy of BJP and RSS has been to bow down to foreign powers and they are putting India's sovereignty at stake.

Sharp reaction to Waqf Amendment Bill

After the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi criticized the government on social media, saying that this bill is an attempt to marginalize the Muslim community and weaken their property and personal rights. He accused the BJP and RSS of attacking the Constitution and said that it would set a precedent for targeting not only Muslims but also other communities in the future. The Congress party strongly opposed the bill, calling it a violation of the right to religious freedom (Article 25).

Demand for answers from the government

  • Rahul Gandhi asked the Indian government:
  • What steps is the government taking regarding the occupation of Indian territory by China?
  • What is India's strategy to defend against US tariffs?
  • Will the government reconsider the Waqf Bill, which may affect the rights of the minority community?
