India-China Border: India has started the construction of the world's highest road on the China border. This road is being built at an altitude of 19400 feet, which will break its own record after the completion of construction. A fighter jet base will also be built here, so that if any emergency arises with China, then using this road, China can be answered in every way.

Till now the highest road in the world is in Umling La, it was constructed by the Border Roads Organization at 19024 feet. This road was specially prepared for the movement of army vehicles. This road was built by Vaishali S Hiwase, a woman officer of BRO. The name of this road is also recorded in the Guinness Book as the highest road. Now the Likaru-Mig La-Fukche road built at an altitude of 19400 feet will break its record.

Just 3 km from china border

Now this organization has made preparations to break its record. The new road is being built in the Demchok sector of Ladakh. BRO is also making this road. The road known as Likru-Mig La-Fukche is very important strategically. It will pass through a place at a height of 19400 feet. It will become the world's highest road crossing the Umlang La Pass. Its strategic importance is also evident from the fact that this road is only three kilometers away from the Line of Actual Control on the China border. The women's unit of BRO has started the construction of this road. Colonel Ponung Doming is leading this team. Along with Colonel Doming, other women officers are also enthusiastically engaged in the work of this road.

Airfield will be upgraded

Along with the construction of this road, the Nyoma Air Field, located about 30 km from eastern Ladakh on the Line of Actual Control, is being upgraded afresh. Fighter jets will start flying from here this year. This airstrip was not in use after the 1962 war. In the year 2009, the work of its upgradation started. Then it stopped. Now it will be prepared in the next few months. This place is at an altitude of 14 thousand feet.
