In the run chase, the Afghan team was all out for 134 runs in 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh took 3-3 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav got 2 successes. Akshar-Jadeja also got one wicket each. Azmatullah Omzai scored the highest 26 runs from the Afghan team. In reply, Bumrah and Arshdeep took three wickets each, due to which India bundled out Afghanistan for 134 runs in 20 overs. For Afghanistan, Azmatullah Omerzai scored the highest 26 runs off 20 balls with the help of two fours and a six. Chasing the target, Afghanistan did not have a good start and the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Indian bowlers also performed well in this match and succeeded in defending the score.

Afghanistan got a target of 182 runs

On the basis of Suryakumar Yadav's brilliant half-century and his partnership with Hardik Pandya, India scored 181 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs in the Super Eight stage match against Afghanistan. For Afghanistan, Fazalhaq Farooqui and captain Rashid Khan took three wickets each and kept the Indian batsmen under pressure. However, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik took the team out of trouble by sharing 60 runs for the fifth wicket.

Suryakumar was dismissed after scoring 53 runs with the help of five fours and three sixes in 28 balls. Apart from him, Indian vice-captain Hardik scored 32 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes in 24 balls. In the end, Axar Patel played some good shots with the help of which India was able to cross the 180-run mark.
