Corona Case In India: After the outcry in China, the Government of India has also been alerted about the new variant of Corona. At the same time, for this, the central and state governments have stepped up preparations. On the other hand, in many states including Delhi, UP, a mock drill will be conducted today to check the preparedness of hospitals to deal with the situation of any increase in Kovid-19 cases. The Center had also issued an advisory regarding this on Monday. At the same time, doctors have advised the Center to approve the second booster dose to prevent corona.

According to media reports, this mock drill will work to test the availability of health facilities, isolation beds, oxygen beds, ICU beds, ventilator beds, doctors, nurses, paramedics, Ayush doctors. During this, information of other frontline workers including Asha and Anganwadi workers will also be collected.

Keeping an eye on preparations against Kovid-19

  • Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya had a virtual meeting with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) regarding Corona. After this, today a mock drill is being organized in all the Kovid hospitals across the country. Health ministers of all the states will also participate in this drill.
  • In Delhi too, a mock drill will be conducted today to assess the preparedness including availability of beds in hospitals in case of increase in Covid-19 cases. The center had issued an advisory in this regard amidst the rapid increase in Kovid-19 cases in some countries. In the national capital, the mock drill will be held in Delhi government hospitals like Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital and private centres.
  • Information related to the availability of beds, oxygen cylinders and ventilators will be available to the public from Tuesday on a portal of the Delhi government. An official said that the investigation can be increased soon. At present, 2,500 to 3,000 Kovid tests are being done daily in Delhi.
  • Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that all the health ministers of the state will participate at their level in the mock drill to be organized in all Kovid hospitals across the country as a precautionary measure amid the increase in cases of infection in China and other countries.
  • Such an exercise will help in our operational preparedness, plug the gaps, if any, and consequently strengthen our public health response, he said at a meeting with doctors of the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
  • In view of increasing cases of Kovid globally, random screening of Kovid-19 has been started at various airports across the country.
  • It was also raised in this meeting that many wrong news is also being spread regarding the danger of coronavirus. He appealed to the members of IMA to make people aware about the misleading information.
  • Meanwhile, taking a strange decision, the Delhi government has put government teachers on duty at the airport. He has been given the responsibility of getting the Covid protocol implemented.
  • The government has directed that entry to bars, restaurants and pubs should be given only to those people who have taken two doses of the vaccine to protect against Kovid-19. Such places have been asked to host guests equal to their seating capacity on New Year. Instructions have been given to end the New Year celebrations on January 1 by 1 am.
  • The Delhi government has approved a budget of Rs 104 crore for hospitals to purchase generic medicines as part of preparedness to deal with emergency situations. In a review meeting, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia directed the heads of government hospitals to share details of beds, ventilators, ICUs, human resources, oxygen plants and medical equipment with the health department by evening.
