AI News in India: Amidst the increasing popularity of AI-chatbots in the country, the government has said that it is not considering making laws or regulating it to stop the expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In response to a question in the Lok Sabha, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said that it sees AI as an important and strategic area for the country and the technology sector. The government published the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence in June 2018. In this strategy, it was said to create a favorable environment for research related to AI and its adoption. The ministry, in its reply, stated that it has created Centers of Excellence to explore opportunities in AI and other emerging technologies. These centers provide startups with premium plug-and-play co-working space and environment where different startups can work in the same space. Explain that India is also a founding member of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI).India will become king in the field of AIUnion Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the government aims to make the country a global powerhouse of AI. For this, it is not enough just to add foreign chatbots; Empowerment of crores of citizens will require next generation AI based innovation. AI will definitely bring a big change in the digital economy in the country and will also expand the business economy. AI is the 'kinetic enabler' of the digital economy. We want to lead the world in AI. NITI Aayog has also published a series of papers titled 'Responsible AI for All'. Over 1,900 AI-focused startups in the country are providing innovation-based solutions, especially in conversational AI, NLP (Natural Language Processing), video analytics, disease detection, fraud prevention and counterfeit detection.
