The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that both the sides also agreed to resolve the remaining issues and restore peace along the LAC in the India-China border areas.

The Ministry of External Affairs has told that after withdrawing from this disputed area, both the countries will now return to the situation like April 2020 before the stand-off on the LAC. Along with this, both the countries will also confirm whether the disengagement actually happened or not.

Commander level talks were held on 17 July

Spokesperson Bagchi said the agreement ensures that the Line of Actual Control or LAC in the region will be strictly followed and respected by both sides. There will be no unilateral change in the status quo, he added. Let us tell you that the 16th round of Corps Commander level talks between India and China was held on 17 July. Earlier, both the sides met for talks in March.
