Delhi: He may have emerged as one of the strong performers in IPL 2022, but that doesn't mean Wriddhiman Saha will be picked again in India's squad. The veteran cricketer was informed long before the start of the IPL that the team management had moved on from him and he was no longer involved in their plans. Saha was playing only Test cricket for the Indian team.

Saha says that he will not be picked for India again and if he had any chance to make a comeback, his performance in IPL 2022 could be missed which did not happen. In an interview to Sports Tak, the wicketkeeper said, "Don't think that I will be selected for India now. The coach and chief selectors had already informed me (no longer in their team)."

The veteran wicketkeeper further said, "If they wanted to pick me, I could have been a part of the England tour based on my IPL performance. It is a clear decision (from their side), but I am only concerned about playing cricket. I am feeling good, I will continue to play cricket." Apart from this, Saha, who broke away from the Cricket Association of Bengal, is looking to choose his next domestic cricket team.

Saha said about the incident with the Cricket Association of Bengal, "There was an incident before IPL. I had decided to never play for Bengal again. After playing for so long, someone from CAB (me But) makes such remarks and they are not acted upon, it hurts me personally. So I have planned to play for some other states. I have spoken to many of them but till now Nothing has been finalised."
