Fire extinguished with the help of helicopter

Officials said that a four-member rescue team, including chemical experts, was successfully boarded on the ship to extinguish the fire. Three ICG ships and ICG ALH helicopters brought the fire under control by Monday morning with their efforts. While extinguishing the fire, the fire was burning intermittently and smoke was also rising.

The ship tilted to one side after the fire

Officials said that after the fire broke out, the ship is tilted to one side in the port. Even after a lot of efforts, the ship could not be straightened. The ship has tilted further along with its berth. Right now it is somehow resting on one side.

One sailor went missing

Officials said that all the personnel have been traced except a junior sailor. The sailor is being searched for. The Indian Navy has ordered an inquiry into the fire incident.
