Second, it prevented the very progressive laws at that time from being extended to Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.The benefits of removing Article 370 are visible todayIn August 2019, the government abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution, revoking the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and dividing the state into two union territories. To a question, the Foreign Minister said, “Today, you can see the benefits of the changes that have taken place. In today's era, the Government of India is rapidly developing infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. There has been a stop to terrorism, separatism and stone pelting here.
