Jammu and Kashmir has achieved a great achievement in the matter of corona vaccination to adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years in various states and union territories of the country. Andhra Pradesh tops with 102.9 per cent of the target population in the 15-18 age group in terms of administering both doses of the vaccine. It is followed by Jammu and Kashmir with 83.6 percent.

36.4 percent in Assam, 37 percent in Punjab and 37.1 percent in Chandigarh have received both doses of corona. In Dadar Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, 38.2% have been vaccinated.

8,33,000 juveniles in this category in the state

The estimated population for vaccination in this category in Jammu and Kashmir is estimated at 8,33,000. In which 8,68,942 have been given the first dose and 6,97,872 adolescents have been given the second dose. According to an estimate, there are 7,40,57,000 adolescents in this age group in the country. The vaccination of adolescents in the age group of 15-18 has started from January 3 in the country.
