A boy in the Idukki district was arrested on Tuesday in reference to forcefully cutting the hair of a 19-year-old female who had rejected his proposal at her residence. The arrested has been recognized as Sunil Kumar, a resident of Peermade.
The police stated the incident happened on Monday at quarters for estate workers. The accused is a neighbour of the female. He had reportedly made numerous requests for love to the female who rejected them.
On Monday, Sunilkumar intruded into her residence whilst she was alone. Fearing that he may assault her, she took hold of a pair of scissors from a table. Sunil Kumar then forcefully seized the tool and beat her up, before cutting her hair, the police stated.
After a complaint had been lodged with the police, the accused went absconding. He was later arrested.
