RCB vs KKR: In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by a huge margin of 81 runs. Batting first after losing the toss at the Eden Gardens ground, KKR scored 204 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, RCB were all out by scoring 123 runs in 71.3 overs. Turning point of the match

1. Shardul's fiery innings

Kolkata Knight Riders lost 5 wickets for 89 runs in the first innings. Then Shardul Thakur, who came to bat, scored 68 runs in 29 balls. He shared a 103-run partnership with Rinku Singh to take the team past 200.

2. Spinners were game changers

Chasing the target of 205 runs, RCB scored 42 runs in 4 overs. But from here Varun Chakraborty and Sunil Narine dismissed 5 batsmen in just 17 runs. In the end Suyyash Sharma took 3 wickets to put RCB on the back foot.

3. Big innings didn't come

Electing to bat first after losing the toss, Rahmanullah Gurbaj got Kolkata off to a brisk start. But in the fourth over, David Willey bowled Venkatesh Iyer and Mandeep Singh and broke Kolkata's back. Mandeep created unwanted record

Karn Sharma sent Russell to the pavilion

Karn Sharma of Bengaluru got Rahmanullah Gurbaz caught out in the 12th over. He returned to the pavilion after scoring 57 runs. Then Andre Russell was also caught out on the very next ball.

Century partnership in Rinku-Shardul

Kolkata had lost 5 wickets at one time on the score of 89 runs. Then Shardul Thakur, who came to bat, played big shots. After completing Fifty in 20 balls, he shared a 103-run partnership with Rinku Singh in 47 balls. Rinku was caught out after scoring 46 runs and Shardul 68 runs.

This is the joint fastest fifty of this season of IPL. He equaled Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals. Butler completed Fifty in 20 balls against Hyderabad.
