Decision taken to return some part of fees

The budget of 'Liger' was said to be around 100 crores. The film collected worldwide 66.89 crores. According to the report of News18, Vijay has decided to return 6 crores from his fees to the makers if the film is not successful. It is worth noting that 'Liger' has been produced by Puri Jagannadh, Karan Johar, Charmi Kaur, Apoorva Mehta.

Ananya Pandey played the lead lady opposite Vijay in Liger. Apart from him, Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy also had important roles. The film is directed by Puri Jagannath. After 'Liger', Vijay and Puri Jagannath will work in 'Jana Gana Mana'.

On his Bollywood debut with 'Liger', Vijay Deverakonda told news agency PTI, 'Initially I felt Arjun was not ready (for entry in Bollywood) immediately after Reddy. I didn't think I was ready to do national cinema. I needed my own journey to reach this milestone and take responsibility for national cinema. Liger was the first film that I was ready to take across India as an individual, actor.
