Coronavirus / Lockdown to be imposed in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur on Sundays

Amid rising coronavirus cases, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced lockdown in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur cities every Sunday till further orders. The decision was taken in a ​review meet chaired by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. All educational institutions will remain closed in these three cities till March 31, said an order by Madhya Pradesh Home Department.

Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, keeping in view the recent increase in corona infection, new additional guidelines have been issued by the state government. AIR Correspondent reports that there will be lockdown on every Sunday till further orders in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur,. In these three cities, the lockdown will be effective from 10 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Monday. Positivity rate is more than 5 per cent in these three cities.

Essential services and industries will remain operational during lockdown. There will be exemption for movement of sick persons and transportation to and from airport, railway stations and persons involved in competitive examinations.

Schools and colleges in Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur cities will remain closed till March 31st but all types of examinations will be conducted according to the predetermined schedule.
