Mumbai: Marathi actress Ketki Chitale has been taken into custody by Thane police for sharing a derogatory post against NCP Chief Sharad Pawar. In this case 3 FIRs have been registered against Ketki. In fact, NCP workers were angry with actress Ketki Chitale's Facebook post and were demanding strict action.
Although Sharad Pawar's name is not mentioned in this social media post written in Marathi. But the surname refers to 'Pawar' and '80 years old'. The post read that 'hell awaits you' and 'You hate Brahmins' are comments allegedly written to humiliate Sharad Pawar.In this case, a case has been registered against Ketki on several charges including defamation and spreading hatred among people. Some NCP leaders are blaming the BJP and the RSS for their derogatory remarks against Pawar on social media.In Maharashtra's Nashik district, a 23-year-old pharmacy student was arrested for making objectionable remarks against Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar on Twitter. He told that Nikhil Bhamre, a resident of Satana in Nashik, has been arrested by the Dindori police.
Nikhil had said in his tweet that the time has come to make Baramati's Nathuram Godse for Baramati's Gandhi. However, he did not mention the name of any leader or political party in the tweet.Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Jitendra Awhad had also tweeted to the police commissioners of Mumbai and Thane and the state director general of police to take strict action against Bhamre.
