The joys of marriage turned into mourning / Maruti Eeco overturned uncontrollably on speed breaker in Rampur, five killed

A Maruti Eeco car overturned due to speed breaker near Sikampur village of Tanda police station area. In the accident, five of the six occupants of the car died on the spot while the driver was seriously injured. The injured have been sent to the district hospital for treatment.

The relationship of Geeta, daughter of Puran Diwakar (50), resident of Jayantipur Mohalla police station Majhola, Moradabad, was settled with Kanhaiya Diwakar, a resident of Sultanpur Patti near Kashipur in Uttarakhand. Puran Diwakar's daughter Geeta was to have a Laguna ceremony on Friday. For this Puran Diwakar went to Sultanpur Patti along with his relatives and acquaintances.

While returning from there late in the night, the accident happened at around 9 pm. According to the police, the Eeco car got out of control by speeding on the speed breaker at Sikampur village and overturned uncontrollably. Puran Diwakar (50), his brother-in-law Vinod Diwakar (45), Devendra Singh Tomar (45), Mukesh Verma (30) and Paramvir Singh (30) Thakur were killed in the accident.

While the driver Harendra Singh was seriously injured. On information, the police also reached the spot and sent the injured driver to CHC Tanda for treatment, from where he was referred as his condition became critical. At the same time, the police have also sent the bodies to the district hospital for post-mortem. On the information of the accident, the family members also reached Rampur late in the night.

Five people including Puran Diwakar died in a road accident. Puran Diwakar's daughter's Laguna ceremony was held on Friday and the procession was to come on Saturday. Where father used to send off daughter Geeta to Puran on Saturday, then after an untoward incident, Geeta will now send off Puran's meaning. After the information of the accident, the family members of the groom's side also reached Tanda in the night itself.
