New Delhi : The number of monkeypox patients has increased again in India. The third patient of the country has appeared in Kerala. It is reported that the man had come to India from the United Arab Emirates. At present, he has been admitted to the hospital. The special thing is that all the three patients who fell victim to this disease are from Kerala. The central and state governments are on alert amid the increasing number of cases. Recently a high level team was sent to Kerala.Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that the case has been confirmed in a 35-year-old man. He told that the man had returned from the United Arab Emirates to Malappuram. He was admitted to the hospital on July 13 after developing fever. After this, symptoms started appearing from July 15. The first case in India was reported in Kerala only on 14 July. During that time also the person had returned to India after traveling from UAE. After this, the second patient of monkeypox was found in the country on 18 July. The 31-year-old patient is being treated in the hospital.Investigation started in KeralaThe Health Minister had told on Tuesday that the testing of monkeypox has started at NIV Alappuzha in Kerala. He had said, 'Testing has started at NIV Alappuzha. Kits have been brought from Pune to NIV Alappuzha. Samples from the districts are being sent to Alappuzha for testing. He had said, 'A new disease has come to the fore in the state. After this all the tests are being done with care. Testing in Kerala will take less time for the results to come.The Union Health Ministry has ordered the screening of all international passengers on Monday. In view of the cases, the Union Health Ministry had also organized a meeting to review the safety measures. Along with this, all the states were asked to ensure the screening. The special thing is that after getting the second case of monkeypox, Kerala was put on high alert.
