A girl student, who appeared for the NEET 2022 medical entrance exam in Kerala, has filed a complaint that she was forced to remove her bra before appearing for the exam. At least 100 girls have complained in this matter. It is being said that during the security check, the metal hook in the bra caused a beep in the metal detection machine. After which the security personnel forced the girl to take off her bra.The shocking incident came to light after the girl's father lodged a police complaint. The case pertains to a NEET center in Kollam district. The female security personnel asked the girl to remove her bra because of the "metallic hook". After which the victim girl removed her bra to her mother so that she could be allowed to sit in the examination. He also asked for a shawl to cover himself.The Marthoma Institute of Information Technology, the center of Chadamangalam, has denied any responsibility. The Kollam police chief confirmed that the girl's parents have lodged a complaint.The girl's father said, “After a security check, my daughter was told that the metal detector had detected the hook of the innerwear, so she was asked to remove it. About 90% of the girl students had to take off their innerwear and keep them in a store room. The candidates were mentally disturbed while writing the exam."The complaint has been lodged with the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kottarakka. According to preliminary information about 100 girls had to face this condition. According to media reports, another girl was asked to take off her jeans as it had metal buttons and pockets. According to the girl students, when they came out from the examination, they found all the undergarments thrown together in the compartments.
