The Kandahar Hijack: 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack', released on Netflix on August 29, is based on the Kandahar hijack of December 1999. Controversy has arisen over this series directed by Anubhav Sinha. Critics say that facts have been tampered with in the series, especially to hide the identity of Muslim terrorists. There is a demand for boycott on this. Netflix has announced to add a disclaimer to resolve this controversy, which will include the real names of the terrorists along with their code names.

1. Tandav

There has also been a controversy over the web series 'Tandav', which streamed on Amazon Prime in 2021. The makers of 'Tandav' were accused of hurting Hindu sentiments and damaging the dignity of the post of Prime Minister. A case was registered against this series in six states including Uttar Pradesh. The web series stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Gauhar Khan, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Kumud Mishra, Anup Soni, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub in the main lead roles. Tandav is about a man named Samar Pratap Singh (Saif Ali Khan). Samar Pratap Singh is the son of the Prime Minister and can do anything to get power in his hands.

2. Sacred Games 2

'Sacred Games 2', released on 15 August 2019, has also created controversy. Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pankaj Tripathi are in the lead roles in this series. In this, Saif Ali Khan and director Anurag Kashyap were accused of provoking the sentiments of Sikhs. In a scene from Part 2 of the series, Saif Ali Khan gets angry with his father, due to which he also throws water on the bracelet given to him by his father. Sikhs had objected to this scene and demanded that it be deleted.

3. Ashram

There was a ruckus over 'Ashram' released on MX Player. Many actors including Bobby Deol, Aditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Tushar Pandey, Anupriya Goenka, Adhyayan Suman, Vikram Kochhar are in the lead roles in the series. Regarding the series, Bajrang Dal said that Hinduism has been shown in a wrong way in it. Due to this, the people of Bajrang Dal also vandalized the set of the film. The people of the Dal alleged that many objectionable scenes have also been shown in it, which they were demanding to be removed.

4. Mirzapur 2

There has also been a controversy over the 'Mirzapur 2' series. A PIL was filed against the web series, regarding which the Supreme Court also issued a notice. In the petition, there was a demand to regulate the content of the film. Petitioner S.K. Kumar had said in his petition that Mirzapur has been shown as a city of terrorists in the series, which will spoil its image.

5. IC 814 The Kandahar Hijack

On this, some people say that the real identity of Muslim terrorists has been hidden in the web series 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack', after which they are demanding to boycott it. People claim that the identity of Muslim terrorists in the series has been hidden and they have been called by names like Shankar and Bhola. Now Netflix has taken a decision regarding this. It has been said that a disclaimer will be added to the series, in which the real names of the terrorists will also be mentioned along with their code names Shankar and Bhola.
