Central Government: The Government of India has taken a strong step to crack down on criminals who commit crimes in the country and flee abroad. Home Minister Amit Shah on January 7 launched the CBI's new portal 'Bharat Pol', which is built on the lines of Interpol. This portal will play an important role in catching such criminals and bringing them to justice.

The game of those who flee abroad is over

Fugitives like Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, and Mehul Chowksi had shaken the country's economic system. Such cases emphasized the need for the Government of India to create a strong mechanism. The purpose of Bharat Pol is to deprive criminals of the facility to hide in any country. This portal will enable the CBI and state police to share information rapidly at the global level, which will speed up the investigation process.

How will Bharat Pol work?

International cooperation: Bharat Pol will help in fast forwarding Interpol's red notice. This will make it easier to identify and arrest criminals at the international level.

Coordination of CBI and States: State police and other investigating agencies can now connect directly to Interpol using Bharat Pol. This will improve the exchange of information between all agencies.

Control over cyber crime: The portal will keep a close watch on cyber crime and will make a big contribution in preventing it.

Major initiative to tighten the noose on criminals

With the Bharat Pol portal, it will now be almost impossible for fugitive criminals to flee abroad. Home Minister Amit Shah called it a historic step in India's criminal investigation process. The portal will work like Interpol, but it has been designed according to the needs of India.

Features of Bharat Pol

Fast action: Helps to speed up Interpol's red notice processes.

Participation of all agencies: Integrated mechanism of state police and national agencies.

Crime prevention capability: Potential crimes can be monitored in advance.
