World Cup 2011: Ever since Master Blaster started playing cricket, he had only one dream to win the World Cup while playing for Team India. The last World Cup of his career was played in 2011, which took place in India. Team India, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, won the World Cup title after 28 years, with which Sachin's years old dream was also fulfilled. Captain Dhoni scored a not out 91 in the final match and won Team India with a six. The echoes of that six of Dhoni continue even after 10 years. Even today, when an Indian cricket fan watches a video of that six, his hair gets erect and eyes are filled. This final match was played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 2 April 2011, exactly 10 years before today. In response to the target of 275 runs, Team India had lost the wickets of Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar by 31 runs. Lasith Malinga was wreaking havoc. After this, Gautam Gambhir, along with Virat Kohli, handled the Indian innings. Gambhir had scored a memorable 97 runs in that match, while Virat contributed 35 runs. Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh returned not out. Dhoni scored a knockout 91 off 79 balls with the help of eight fours and two sixes.
