T20 World Cup | Despite losing the first two matches in the T20 World Cup, Team India's hopes of reaching the semi-finals are alive. India registered a stunning 66-run win against Afghanistan on 3 November and this also reflected in their net run rate. India's net run rate has now come in positive, which was earlier running in negative. India may have improved the net run rate, but still reaching the semi-finals is not in their hands anymore. India would need help from either Afghanistan or Namibia.Either of these two teams will have to win the match against New Zealand. The best way for India to reach the semi-finals is to have six points in their account with New Zealand and Afghanistan after the league round and reach the semi-finals with a better net run rate. India have to play their next match against Scotland on 5 November and then against Namibia on 7 November. Pakistan has already reached the semi-finals from Group 2.On the other hand, if we talk about the match between Scotland and New Zealand, the Kiwi team may have won the match by 16 runs, but some of their weaknesses were definitely visible. New Zealand are currently in a better position than India in the points table, but they can still face tough competition from Afghanistan and India from Group 2.
