IAS Pooja Khedkar News: Controversial trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar of Maharashtra appeared in front of the media for the first time after the controversies. When asked about the whole matter, she said that I have come to know from you today that a committee has been formed regarding the case going on against me. He said that I will put my point in front of the investigation committee.One-member committee will investigateThe central government on Thursday constituted a one-member committee to investigate the "candidacy claims and other details" of the controversial probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar. Khedkar is accused of misusing disability and OBC quota. The Center said in a statement that the 2023 batch officer, who has been allotted Maharashtra cadre, will be investigated by an additional secretary level officer to verify the candidature claims and other details. The statement said that the committee will submit its report in two weeks.Takes charge in WashimPuja Khedkar on Thursday assumed charge as assistant district magistrate in Washim district collectorate in Vidarbha region. She was transferred from Pune, where she had allegedly threatened people and had a red beacon on her personal Audi car. Khedkar (34) has been accused of misusing benefits under the physically handicapped category and other backward class (OBC) quota to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). She was transferred from Pune to Washim on Monday following allegations of improper behaviour.
In a marked change from her previous modus operandi, Khedkar on Thursday arrived at her office in Washim in a Bolero car, different from the red beacon Audi car she used when she was in Pune. When asked about the allegations against her, Khedkar told reporters, "I am not authorised to speak on the issue.
