Maldives News: The problems of Mohammed Muizzoo government of Maldives are increasing. The situation in the country has become such that their government can fall any time. The opposition has indicated that it is waiting for the right time. When the time comes, a no-confidence motion will be brought against the Mohammad Muizzu government. In fact, due to differences with the Mohammad Muizzu government, there was a clash in the Parliament between the ruling party and opposition MPs on Sunday.

After the clash in Parliament, the opposition is continuously attacking the Mohammad Muizzu government. The main opposition party Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) is working on plans for an impeachment motion against Mohammed Muizzu. This plan has been made after the uproar in Parliament. It is reported that the Maldivian Democratic Party, along with the Democrats, has secured the necessary support for the proposal. After this, now in view of the unity of the opposition, it is feared that it will not be easy for the Mohammad Muizzu government to overcome this crisis.

Opposition advised to apologize to PM Modi

Maldivian opposition leaders have now advised President Mohammed Muizzu to apologize to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Maldives Jamhoori Party leader Kasim Ibrahim has told Mohammed Muizzu that he should try to improve his relations with India. He said that the President should apologize to the people of India and Prime Minister Modi for the statements made after his visit to China, because this will only harm Maldives.

How did Maldives' relations with India deteriorate?

As soon as the government was formed in Maldives, pro-China Mohammed Muizzoo started showing harsh attitude towards his relations with India. First of all he asked India to withdraw its army contingent. After this, after Prime Minister Modi's visit to Lakshadweep, comparison with Maldives and the rhetoric of Mohammed Muizzu's ministers increased the tension further. Due to this, Indians had to suffer huge financial loss due to cancellation of their trip to Maldives. Apart from this, tensions between the two countries increased further regarding the visit of Chinese spy ship to Maldives.
