New Delhi : Be ready for e-challans for those who have not yet conducted pollution checks of vehicles in the capital. After the notice from next week, Delhi Transport Department will send e-challan to the people sitting at home. An e-court is also being formed to fill the same. If all goes well, the process of formation of e-court will be completed this week, after that e-challan will be issued.There are more than 13 lakh vehicles in Delhi which have not got their vehicles pollution tested. Marking such vehicles, the Transport Department is issuing notices to some people daily. About 200 to 250 notices are being issued daily. So far notices have been issued to more than 2350 vehicle owners.Investigation to be done within seven daysAn e-challan will be sent to you if the vehicle is not checked for pollution within seven days from the date of issue or receipt of the notice. This e-challan of 10 thousand rupees will be filled through the e-court being created by the Transport Department.If sources are to be believed, the process of notice has already been started 10 days ago. However, the vehicles are not being challaned yet. Due to this, the final seal has not yet been taken on the creation of e-courts. There will be a meeting this week, in which approval can be given with discussion regarding the formation of e-courts. Only after that e-challans will be issued. 150 to 200 challans will be issued in a day.Vehicle in Delhi, owner abroadA senior official of the Delhi Transport Department said that mails are coming that the vehicle is in Delhi but the vehicle owner is abroad, then how to get the investigation done. There are some elderly people who live alone and cannot take a vehicle. There is no provision in the Motor Vehicles Act regarding this. If there is a vehicle then it will have to be checked on time.Two lakh vehicles got checked in 15 daysAbout 15 days ago, the Transport Department had announced the investigation of vehicles that did not undergo pollution checks. At that time there were close to 15 lakh vehicles inside Delhi. Since then the number of pollution testers has increased. At present, only 13 lakh vehicles are included in the list of non-pollution tests. Pollution test of two lakh vehicles has been done.
