A cell presided over by Judge AS Gadkari denied their claims, saying the detention of the police duo by a judge and subsequent detention was in accordance with the law and no intervention was required. . In the lawsuit, Kundra, the husband of actresses Shilpa Shetty and Thorpe, called their arrest illegal because the requirement to notify under section 41A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) was not met. to respect. 


The duo, in their plea, asked the Supreme Court to order their immediate release and to reverse two orders issued by a judge after taking them into custody. While Kundra was arrested on July 19, Thorpe, who worked as an IT director at Kundra's company, was arrested on July 20. They are currently in judicial custody.
