Rajiv Gandhi Murder Case: On November 11, the Supreme Court ordered the release of the killers of Rajiv Gandhi. Criminals Robert Payas and Jayakumar were released from Puzhal Central Jail while Murugan and Santhan were released from Vellore Central Jail.

The statements of the convicts also came out as soon as they were released from jail. "People of North India should see us as victims rather than terrorists or killers. Time will decide whether we are terrorists or freedom fighters," he said. "We are sure that time will prove us innocent. Even if people think of us as terrorists".

'Thank you to the people of Tamil Nadu, supported me for 32 years'

Rajiv Gandhi assassination case convict Nalini Sriharan was released from Vellore jail. As soon as he was released from jail, he said, "I am thankful to the people of Tamil Nadu, who supported me for 32 years. I thank both the state and central government". Nalini Sriharan's brother Bakiyanathan also expressed happiness over his sister's coming out of jail. She said, "Nalini and our family are very happy today. She is going to lead a normal life with her family. We will try to get an appointment with her (CM MK Stalin)." Nalini Sriharan and four other convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case were released from jails in Tamil Nadu on Saturday evening. Soon after her release from the special prison for women in Vellore, Nalini went to the Vellore Central Jail, from where her husband V. Sriharan alias Murugan was released. Nalini became emotional after meeting her husband.

What did the Supreme Court say about the release

Supreme Court convicts Nalini Sriharan and R.P. Ravichandran was ordered to be released prematurely on Friday. Judge B.R. Gavai and Justice B.V. Nagarathna said that one of the accused in the case, A.G. The earlier judgment of the apex court in Perarivalan's case is applicable in both of these cases as well.

Perarivalan was released after 30 years in prison
