Supreme Court: The Supreme Court has taken a serious step regarding the bulldozer action on Madni Masjid in Kushinagar. The apex court has issued a notice on the contempt petition related to this issue and has sought a reply from the administrative officials including the UP government within two weeks. The Supreme Court said that if anyone violates the order while opposing such steps, he will not be spared.

Bulldozer action case on Madni Masjid

The matter came to light on February 9, when a part of Kushinagar's Madni Masjid was demolished by the administration. The administration took this action to demolish the illegal part of the mosque. However, after this step, tension increased in the area and the opposition made serious allegations against the Yogi government.

Strict remarks of the Supreme Court

The Supreme Court made a strong comment on this matter and said that this step is a violation of our orders. A bench of Justice BR Gavai made it clear that if any officer commits contempt due to this action, he will be punished under the law.

Along with this, the court said that no further action will be taken to demolish the structure of Madni Masjid until further orders are issued. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the DM and the concerned officials, seeking their reply and asking why contempt of court proceedings should not be initiated against them.

Opposition's response and allegations

On this development, the opposition accused the Uttar Pradesh government and said that this action was taken at the behest of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Congress state president Ajay Rai said that the incidents of bulldozing the Madni Masjid of Bahraich, Sambhal, and now Kushinagar are part of a strategy, which is increasing mutual animosity in the state.

Monitoring and administrative claims

The order to demolish the mosque was given by the Municipal Executive Engineer Meenu Singh. After this decision, the administration responded on the issue that this action was taken as per the law, but amid the growing controversy of the matter, the Supreme Court intervened and asked the concerned officials to answer.

Compliance with the court order and future steps

This incident has now become a constitutional issue rather than just a local dispute. The Supreme Court order makes it clear that the administration will have to fully comply with the rules and court orders to avoid any kind of illegal action. There is a possibility of more orders from the Supreme Court in this matter in the coming days, which can pose a tough challenge for the administration.
