On Saturday, they suffered a crushing defeat by 5 wickets at the hands of Mumbai Indians (MI). This victory of Mumbai brought great news for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

With the victory of Mumbai, Virat Kohli's team Bangalore has qualified for the playoffs. Had Delhi Capitals won this match, they would have qualified and RCB would have been eliminated. In such a situation, Kohli and team supported Mumbai and succeeded in defeating Delhi.

The RCB team watched this match sitting together on the big screen. As soon as the Mumbai team won, at the same time all the players and staff including Kohli and RCB captain Faf du Plessis were stunned. Everyone including Kohli danced fiercely.

In reply, Mumbai team scored 160 runs with 5 balls to spare and won the match by 5 wickets. Opener Ishan Kishan scored 48 runs off 35 balls, Dewald Brevis 37 off 33 balls and Tim David scored 34 runs off 11 balls to win the match. Bumrah was adjudged player of the match.
