Dr. Ajit Kumar of Rajiv Gandhi Hospital explains that due to TTS, blood clots are formed in the body. Which is called blood clot in medical language. A blood clot forms when platelets and proteins in the blood start sticking together. In many cases, these clots dissolve on their own in the body and do not cause any disease, but if these clots do not dissolve in someone's body, then they can cause many serious problems. The biggest impact on heart and brain function is seen due to formation of blood clots.

What effect does TTS have on the body?

Dr. Ajit Kumar explains that due to thrombosis, blood can accumulate in the veins of the body. This means that blood clots occur in the veins. Because of this, blood does not flow properly in the body. Blood clots can form anywhere in the legs, hands, heart and brain. If these blood clots form in the heart, the heart faces difficulty in pumping blood. Because of this there is pressure on the veins of the heart. The heart is unable to function properly and due to this there is a risk of heart failure or heart attack.

Similarly, if thrombosis occurs in the brain, it causes a blood clot to form in the brain. Blood is not supplied properly to the brain. Due to this there is a risk of brain hemorrhage and brain stroke. TTS can also cause deficiency of platelets in the body. Due to this, there is a risk of getting many types of blood disorders.
